Recover Lost Local Mailboxes

Every so often after an upgrade, I lose the mailboxes that I have created for saving emails. I know they are there because I can search for emails and also because I have found the folders in /users/user/Library/Mail/V6 but I can not get them to display along with my main mailboxes in the Mail side panel on the left.

Like I said, this happens from time to time after an upgrade and I have gotten them back a couple times but I don't remember how and this time, I've been stymied.

Ignore, I got them back somehow by trying a lot of tips online. No idea how, but I've got it all.

Carbon Copy Cloner and Time Machine work best for recovering Mail and Mail boxes. Nothing works better than a good backup when stuff goes missing.
