Recover opened Word file

Hey guys,

I made a very important task on my memory stick for school. But I lost my memory stick :'(
I opened it on my mac but I can only see I did that, could I recover it in any way?

Try "dragging and dropping" the document in question onto the icon of Preview in the dock.

Try "dragging and dropping" the document in question onto the icon of TextEdit in the dock.

Any results?

Advice for the future, sync the folder to a Dropbox account.
