This is probably the ultimate novice question but when I restart my computer there are always recovered files in the trash. Why is that & is that normal?

Basically, if a program leaves something in /temporary items/, and fails to delete it, it gets moved to the trashcan on reboot. You can ignore these files and just delete them the next time you get to emptying your trash.
