Hello,

I deleted some data around 2 months ago, it was around 16GB of data.
But I need it back now, is it possible to recover this 16GB of data?

Please do help, CASH REWARD IS AVAILABLE for the user who manages to get the data found

Thanks!

If you'd said "2 minutes ago" or maybe even "2 hours ago" I'd have said sure. Even 2 days is a long time, given that once data is deleted it will often be at least partially overwritten fairly quickly by the system.

2 months ago makes it an even more difficult task, and one that I'd say is not real likely to bear much fruit.

That being said, there are ways to attempt to get the data off - but they'll all cost money, either in the form of purchased software, or a service fee to some company willing to try it for you.

There are ways. The data works is that it is written, once it's written, it's always there until rewritten. So if you deleted something and haven't used your computer since, your chances are much better, however if it has gone through regular use, it degrades that chance.

I know you can do it, however i don't know what you would use for Mac. I've done it on PC's quite a few times and generally if you don't screw with the drive too much, the chances are rather good. But the if it's hardware, that get's pricey fast, mainly because most people will have to do it in a clean room with fancy suits and what not.

I've used Data Rescue with some success in the past, but this was only 3 or 4 hours after the incident.

Also, keep in mind that it can only restore common file types (.jpg, .pdf, .mp3, etc) and not just anything.

I use my Powerbook on a daily basis, like 10 hours a day.

I dont think I can get the data back

I KNEW I SHOULD OF BACKED IT UP!
