Hi all just wick start

My friend lost his iPhone at a cafe a couple of hours back. He wiped out his iPad and we trCked it down to a warehouse by miami airport.

He went to the office and explained that his phone was inside but they where no help. So we called 311 and are now waiting for the police to turn up.

The police just turned up and we are giving them the low down and showing them the position on the iPad.

If you are in Miami and dial 311 who picks up the phone???? This story doesnt make sense

Metro-Dade PD is on the case...

btw, i got pulled over right around the airport the other day...was on Le June...pulled me over for talking on my cell phone.

I was waiting for someone at the airport and was on the phone with the airline making sure her flight was on time. He didnt give me a ticket, since i live in Broward County and we dont have that rule. I put on my headset (SE530 with the shure iPhone cable) and he was ok with that after wards.

make a video and put it on youtube...most viral video EVER...

COPS Track down Iphone4 using (insert whatever app you're using here)

I have a feeling all is not going well.... The cops probably arent any help even though they have proof its right under their nose!

If you are forgetful or careless buy insurance. Chasing unknown criminals is dangerous.

Truthfully when does a small dot on an iPad give the police probable cause to enter private property? The other problem is airport property is most likely under the jurisdiction of airport security not county or city police departments making it even harder to gain access.

Hey All

So once the police lady turned up she went into the warehouse, we sent the play sound signal to the iphone and 15 mins later the cop came out with the phone turned out that the phone was in a package waiting to be shipped out. She would not tell us the address and my mate was just happy that he recovered his phone! :)

Sorry for the lag on this one, once we sorted everything out had to get back to work after taking most of teh afternoon off and there was a shed loada work wait for me. plus my boss was piss with me.

wish we had been able to take some video of the whole thing, your right it would have been a good viral!

I was picking up some mates a couple of weeks ago on a saturday night and was doing curcits of the airport arrives level, the police had setup a check point as you came into the airport, when i explained that i was on my 5th lap he gave me a funny look and told me about some waiting area get outside the airport, i was not sure where he was talking about, i thought it might have been where all the taxis stop on the right just before you get to the mian airport.

anyway, glad you did not get a ticket!
