I was thinking (as I was reinstalling Lion using the amazing wifi recovery) about the recovery partition that works in the operating system.

Will Mountain Lion refresh the recovery partition so that if I try to recover without the physical disk, it will default to Mountain Lion? Going further, what about the Wifi recovery? My computer shipped with Lion, but if I buy Mountain Lion and then need to restore it'd be great to know that Mountain Lion is what it restores to.

Does anyone know anything about this, or is it still under wraps?

I would assume that it would install the OS your computer shipped with. Unless Lion updates the firmware as well as the OS.

Mountain Lion updates the EFI firmware on your Mac. This is stored on the logic board, not the hard drive. Be wary if you intend to reinstall 10.7 because the firmware update may cause problems with that (it did for me).
