    hello,

i got a red light left to the speaker
. I know its the proximity sensor, and it has infrared lights, but i never recornized it till yesterday.it has to be new, because its really obviously.
its even possible to see it on daylight. an always running ,instant red glowing point on my iphone 5s. someone with the same problem?
already set it up as new

Its not a problem and its not something new.
You just didn't notice it before.

I don't think the vast majority of people can see infrared.

There is a sensor behind the glass. You can see it when the light hits the phone at certain angles

The sensor itself or the (red) light that it is emitting?

I've never seen it with the naked eye, even in the dark, and I'd argue that most people haven't either. I'm not saying there's necessarily something wrong there simply based on what was mentioned, but I do believe it's not something common/typical.

It does emit light but it's usually just the light hitting it. Yes it's red. Not as prominent as previous generations though.

I only see the light when the ambient lighting is less than bright.

I agree, its normal but not in my case
its really bright, i compared it to my friends iphones and some of them just dont have it or less bright.
But the sensor on my iPhone is incredible bright and always ON!
I'm pretty sure I have not overlooked. That was not there before, not so bright
I wish i could show you my RED DOT ;)

Lol I'm only 14 so I asked my mom what she thought it was and of course she didn't know . I'm usually the one in the family that knows most about technology . But I'm stumped on this one....

It just means you have great eyesight. Most people can't see it.
