Red Rocket still needed with nMP?

I was wondering if the nMP let's say in an 8core 64 bit dual d500 config would still require to use a red rocket card in your opinion?

Since fcp x seems to be completely fine with editing the raw footage..?

Not everyone is editing in FCX. This might make the card neccsarry still. As far as FCX, I would certainly agree with you, but it's too early to know definitively.
