Anyone know how to redeem the cellular offer? I don’t have any lines on t mobile but would like to open an account with my iPad only.
All of this in order to get that $200 GC!

No idea. I don’t know whether I can actually sign up a new account with just an iPad?

I received an e-mail with redemption instructions for the offer. You should be able to open a new line / plan with T-mobile even though you don't have an existing line, and you should be able to open right on the iPad itself in Cellular settings.

Can you post the link for that? The only thing I see in cellular settings is for prepaid plans, not postpaid plans under T-Mobile that the promotion requires.

I'm in the same situation, plan to buy cellular version and get T-mobile rebate, but I don't have an existing T-mobile line. Have you figured out how to achieve this?

This is from Apple’s website. For T-Mobile, you need to activate a 10GB plan or higher ($30/month), which you can do from your iPad, and submit some paperwork at the website listed. You’ll get a virtual gift card in about 6-8 weeks. There does not appear to be a requirement to keep the plan after you receive the gift card.

Apparently activation from iPad doesn’t work for a new account. Must have t-mobile ph number and plan.
