Some leaked specs are being revieled of the new Sony Viao Z. It's 13" laptop which is very thin, ATI 6700m, core i7 Sandy Bridge and SSD as standard.

It has no internal Blu ray anymore, it's external. It also supports external GPU's for more GPU power.

Seems Sony keeps doing pretty good work with their ultraportable laptop, a MBA format which is lighter and also very thin, yet giving the performance of a high end 15" or 17" MBP.

If this is real, I think we can thank Sony for forcing Apple to come with a redesign in 2012? :D I'm pretty sure Apple will respond to this.

Because they usually respond to design changes from other manufacturers.

Sony is playing catchup to Apple, not the other way around.

Apple will do as it pleases.

Apple does not compare itself to others but its own products.
