Any updates on this? Would like to see 2 USB-C ports, Face ID, better keyboard and SIM card/e-sim support.
Fixed your sentence, that's enough ;)

Do you guys think that we could see the redesigned 12 incher anytime soon?

Less then 1% chance that they will redesign it soon.
But if they are going with their own chips in 2020/21, maybe, just maybe then.

They are trying to reinvent the wheel with MacPro, otherwise we would simply get a tower by now, and be done with it. Like it should be. Trashcan thought them nothing I guess.

Then they will redesign the MBP for 20/21, and possibly iMac (same design for a very long time).

At least my predictions. But if they go full in with their own chips, every prediction made here is irrelevant. Then it's anybody's guess.

I have yet to meet someone who thinks the touch bar was a good idea lol

We haven't actually met but let me introduce myself ;)

I LOVE IT!

I had a 12" MacBook for 2 years and loved it, but recently changed to a 2017 13" MacBook Pro. In the end I decided more ports was more important to me than the extra portability. The Touchbar was not a factor, but now that I have it I love it. Especially fingerprint unlock.

I suspect a great many of the naysayers have either not tried it, or not tried to understand it, or made no attempt to adjust their way of working so that it works for them.

For people who have created a lot of shortcuts using F keys, the TB can be locked to F Keys with no loss , or it can locked to the Standard brightness/volume etc....but still with fingerprint unlock.

I have yet to find ESC not available.

I have 2017 27" iMac as well, which is my normal go-to when at home but the TB on the MBP is a factor which means sometimes I use the MBP instead now.

Of course, it must be users fault, something like 'you're holding it wrong' ? ;)
Never mind that 99% of developers loose some very basic functions, it must be their fault...

No loss you say? Well, I have yet to find some who can use TB without looking down from the screen and receiving haptic feedback in the process. Locked to brightness/volume? Same thing, you have to look away from the screen to use it, and it takes extra steps to use those functions.

Touch ID is tied to the TB at the moment. But no need for it to be.

You are putting words in my my mouth....I was careful to say "I suspect a great many..." not that anybody who doesn't like it is 'holding it wrong'.

I am not a touch typist so I look at the keyboard while typing, so for me looking at the TB is is not a case of looking down from the screen. I don't understand your comment about haptic feedback so will try to understand.
