Redesigning my site logo.

Is there anything you'd like us to do with the logo? Critique it? Modify it? Print it out and mail it to the Pope along with a lock of our hair?
The circle doesn't do anything for me. It's an odd combination because the sides are so tight to the type while the top and bottom so far away.
Personally, I'd just find a nice typographical treatment and leave the circle off.

Might want to kern it a bit, esp the L and I. The serif needs to be balanced out with the negative space.

I think you need to start again. The logo is not conveying anything other than design for it's own sake. It seems strange to go from a completely abstract design to a little umbrella pictograph, it shows some muddled thinking.
Maybe try to stylise the umbrella and incorporate that if you want that image. I wouldn't bother with subtle type manipulation just yet, it's like putting lipstick on a pig, at least get the pig a decent outfit first.

I like that much better.
You might have to play with the scale of the umbrella a bit. It might get too small if your logo is reduced a bit.
But that is definitely an improvement.
