Hello,

I was wondering if in Mac OS X (10.4 and 10.6)
If there is a way to redirect web addresses. My Wife and I's anniversary is coming up. and I wanted to redirect an everyday site she goes to (say, Facebook) to a custom address (to a page saying how glad I am to be married to her, love her etc.)

If I could preferably write a script and schedule it with chron that would be awesome. (so that the redirecting starts during the day when I'm away at work, and then a few hours later it can switch back)

I know it's cheesy but I think she would get a kick out of it. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear 'em

Thanks in advance,
~Ark

Scheduling with cron wouldn't be too hard. Just use one cron job to copy the modified file in and another one to copy the original back. If you did that you could redirect any traffic to localhost and have a webserver running to send the modified page. You would probably also need a rewrite rule in case she has a bookmark or something that doesn't just go to facebook.com.
