Guys I'm wondering if you encounter this problem on your ipad, my friends and family have all observed this issue on separate connections.
The problem happens when u go to a website on mobile safari/chrome with ads in iframes or ads that can redirect you to the ad store/adult websites. The redirection usually occurs in a chain, where a redirect will bring you to another redirecting page. Popular blogs, news websites, forums and even MR forums (at times) are affected by this.
The majority of literature agrees that this behaviour should be normal, advertisers should have control over basic redirection and anything with the app store address prefix should switch users to the app store. Others suggest that this is abnormal behaviour and mention that your router has been compromised or your ipad has some cookies causing these ads to allow redirects.
This liberal stance towards advertisers using the app store prefix to redirect users to the app store strongly diminishes the enjoyment of using my iPad's browser (practically the only thing i do on it). Accordingly iOS 9 will allow developers to create browser plugins, so we may see a proper ad block plugin developed for mobile safari.
Have you guys encountered something like this? I doubt I'm the only person (or that the people in my vicinity are the only people) who experiences this frustration. I cannot imagine that of the millions, or as I recently found out, billions of iOS devices out there, there isn't any more information on this problem.
