I was going to hold off on jailbreaking when the tethered jailbreak came out because I like to turn off my ipod and didn't want to deal with not being able to turn it back on unless I was around a computer, but now this comes out. Has anybody tried it? Is the setup process basically the same? Do you lose any functionality (besides the jailbreak things) if you shut down and boot up?

going off the readme file it looks like similar setup just with the addition of maybe a couple of steps to make it a semi tethered jailbreak.

From what I have read the semi tethered jailbreak will give you the full jailbreak, however if you reboot or power off or battery dies the ipod can boot into a non-jailbroken form till you get to a PC/mac
