Reduce iPhone transmit (TX) power

Is it possible to reduce the transmit power or SAR of the iPhone? I find it very high.

High in what way?

I don't believe something like that is controllable by the user (short of perhaps putting the device in airplane mode or turning it off).

I guess developer tools and jailbreak at least would be required.
