reduce motion "on"

is it me or when you have this option on, there is delays when unlocking the phone, or when in an app you press the home button back to the home screen, and you try to do something but nothing happens for like a second.

it seems to me like the visual effect is gone, however the phone is unusable for that 1 second like its waiting for the animation to finish even tho it isn't visually there.

very frustrating.

Mostly just see a subtle fading type of effect rather than a movement type of one.

5s, iOS 8.1.1

it is so much more evident when u pull the notification down then up again. you try to do something like swipe home screen, nothing register the first time, and you swipe again it's all fine.

The delay is there. While the animation is removed, it still delays as if the animation is happening.
