Reflections - System Wide

I'm having a bit of a problem after installing Safari 4 (I think). It seems that all reflections in OS X have stopped working, for example this bowtie theme....

This seems to be system wide. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

funnily enough, I see a working reflection in your dock in that pic
