calm down. i really must say, you have become quite annoying lately. just because someone does something differently [or better] than you doesnt mean you have to act like a jerk.

like i said before since you disk runs os9 you cant run osx utilities on it. drive10 is the best disk utility for osx because it is design specifically for osx.

i could make a bootable system 8.6 disk and run utilities on that, but its just not the best way to do things.

with a utilities partition someone could run utilities that you can not. and as more utilities become osx specific, someone with a utilities partition can use them.

also the points made by strider are very pertinent as well.

i also mentioned in my previous message an application that will help someone make a osx bootable disk, which could be helpful if you want to use your utilities where ever you go. Frankly i think a osx/os9 bootable disk would be best.

so please try to be more respectful, just because someone notices a better way to do something does mean you have to act like a big meanie [yes i said big meanie].
