Refresh Network?

Is there anyway to refresh the network to see connected computers? Connected Macs show up pretty quickly but I have a PC laptop...(I know I know but I picked it up for $300 bucks so sue me.) and when I connect it to my network it takes it forever for OSX to see it.

I figured it out in case anyone is curious. If you unplug the network cable from the back of your machine and plug it back in, networked Windows machines can be found again. Sometimes the solutions are too easy and you think over them.
