I noticed my miserably small 320gb hd was getting flooded with files so I did some clean up. Notably music and video files.

I dumped all the music files (sans itunes library) off to my fileserver which should've freed up 20gb of space. When I did a get info (cmd-I) again from the hd icon on the desktop, it didn't show any improvement even after a reboot.
is there a way to refresh? I would hate to think it is an inadequate way of checking capacity and usage. How do I find out the truth?

That was a complete brain dead moment. Emptying the trash solved the problem Thanks!

BTW: it was tough to admit that :)
