- Fair enough. But it's extremely simple. Literally just some screws. Or get a tech-comfortable friend to do it.
Yeah, but still pricey. If I was gonna spend that I'd just get the 512 out of the box. But I can't afford that, so 256 is my option for the 15".

- Definitely pricey. But thought I should mention the option as it hadn't been discussed. I was under the impression, though, that you were looking at a specific 15" 256 GB machine and didn't have the option to configure a 512 GB from the get-go.

Definitely Thanks for mentioning!

I have just decided to go for the 13". The 15" is nice for sure, but for me it is just too much of a compromise. The 512GB will be so nice, I can just import stuff and not think twice and I'll never have to worry about using external storage or having to upgrade in a few years because I'm full. That alone makes the 13 worth it.
Plus it is the size I'm used to. It is really convenient and I can easily carry it and use it anywhere around the house. Also bringing it out once a week will be much easier and convenient. While the 15 is powerful and does have a nice big screen, the 13's screen is also beautiful and ultimately more convenient for me. I could see the 15 getting in the way at times, too. Additionally, I don't need the extra power as the 13 will already be a huge upgrade from my 2014 Air in processor, RAM, and SSD, and will be able to handle whatever I need to do. If I get to the point where I need quad core I can address it at that point in time; but I'm not gonna compromise on storage or convenience now for something I don't even need. Thanks for all the advice and input everyone! I will be getting a 13" 512GB.

For being someone who is usually perpetually indecisive with new Apple device purchases, surprisingly I'm still feeling great about my decision. Really looking forward to the 13" MBP! Especially that gorgeous retina display. After 2 and a half years on an Air screen (which is by no means bad just noticeably pixelated when using a retina iPad and iPhone a lot), I'm so ready for retina! :D

Mine arrived today (13" 2.7Ghz). Quite a difference from my 2007 iMac! Going to take me a week to migrate my photos and organize my data properly between local storage and NAS.

Nice! I'm sure we'll be enjoying our new retina machines!

Got it all setup and, as expected, i LOVE it! The display is beyond comparison, seriously amazing and blows my Air away. Love it! Everything seems snappy and smooth, and I'm really glad i went with the smaller size as it fits places way easier. Definitely glad i went for more storage as well. Great upgrade so far!
