the price point is where i might pry my wallet open at $429 for the wifi only model...

refurb is basically new. buy without worries. they warranty it just like a brand new device.

I've bought a couple refurb items from apple and I've never had a problem. I plan to buy another soon. I'd say go for it to save yourself some cash!
