Refurb early 2011 question

Hey all, I just ordered a Early 2011 17 inch refurb but unfortunately I did it out of town and I won't have access to my Snow Leopard discs for another week or so.

Has anyone here ordered any early 2011 models recently, if so did it come with Lion or SL?

Any refurbs from Apple should come with the latest OS that machine supports.

I believe it's possible to downgrade it though by wiping and installing Snow Leopard. I mean, my early 2011 came with SL when I bought it in February 2011. Unless there is something weird/incompatible with firmware on the internal subsystems like the fan controller, etc?

It's possible to install SL on any 2011 machine except the MBA. I believe the best way to do it is over Firewire.

You'll get Lion, but nothing to stop you installing SL...You won't get disks with your newbie though, and may have to buy the specific disks for the MBP 17" from Apple.
