I have a refurb 2018 3.2/i7/64 Mac mini running on 10.14.6 (too scared to upgrade just yet). I have two Lenovo Thinkvision P24h-10 Displays (1440p) plugged in via 2 Apple branded thunderbolt/usb-c cables. I'm using bluetooth Logitech Keyboard and mouse and plugged in via ethernet w/ Wifi disabled. In the last couple of days, I've been getting intermittent forced shutdowns that I can't pinpoint the problem. The only thing I can think of is that, I was watching cbs.com on chrome when it crashed but now it was youtube on safari. I copied the log but I'm really not familiar on how to to interpret the problem. Help!!

That's called a "kernel panic". The only thing that stood out is it reported that the crash was caused by "Previous Power Transitions". Perhaps some of our more knowledgeable members can dig into the report deeper and give you a better answer.

This time it's showing a problem with memory. Have you recently added memory to the 2018 Mini? Bad or intermittent memory will definitely cause kernel panics but it could also be something else.

The OWC ram was added on the first day of ownership.

I can't seem to run diagnostics either. I'm using an older usb Mac keyboard (from my 08' Mac Pro) and pressing D and option D but nothing shows up on my screen.

This machine is giving me so much grief from day 1!

It is most likely a problem with the RAM unfortunately. It is possible they are not faulty, but just not quite seated correctly in the slots.
Sadly, to troubleshoot, you'll need to dismantle. First step would be to put back in the original RAM and see if problems goes away. Then try the upgrade again. But be really careful both times to push the sticks in so that they are very securely seated in the slots.

The VERY FIRST THING you should try is to take the OWC RAM OUT and put the factory RAM back in. Then run that way for 3-4 days, and see if the problem disappears.

See above.
I sense that the RAM you installed has something to do with it.

I would also suspect the RAM. Replace with original RAM and see if problem goes away. Depending on the outcome you might have to send contact the seller (in this case OWC) and send it back for a replacement or refund.

Sometimes RAM related problems can be related to individually functioning memory sticks that are supposed to have similar ratings but in fact have slightly different timings. Once in a while a pair of memory sticks don't perfectly match up and it causes problems. This is why memory sticks are often marketed as being tested and sold together as "matched pairs".

The day 1 grief was regarding my monitors and hdmi and DisplayPort cables. This problem just started 2 days ago after a month of ownership. I will try to reseat the ram though. I'm kind of pissed that the mini won't let me run diagnostic mode though. Any solution to that?
