The refurbs prices went down again, hope that means new toys....coming soon!
when did that happen?
it's the same as i checked few days ago
Basic macbooks were 899.00 now they are 799.00
i know its sweet. hopefully ordering one tonight
The 2.0Ghz 15" used to be 1449, now it is 1349...
Hmmm.... is Santa Rosa coming early?
Thats what i am hoping....big drops already...I sold my macbook 1,83 for 845.00 last week
100.00 across the board drops...hummmmmm
[evil rant=wmmk]haha! they've sold out of 2.16Ghz 15 inchers! that means i got the best deal possible! :cackle: [/evil rant]
I imagine it's just supply management. It seems too early for an update any time soon.
Then why the sudden price cut?
I do think something may happen....i need new toys...just bought a imac G4 to hold me over........
Resolution independent MBPs and MBs..
With cleaner and brighter screens, hmm mmm...
Well, C2D refurbs are likely imminent....
Do you think they would have fixed all those 15" MBPs that were returned because of screen issues? Like the graininess?
I've personally never seen this issue... but one way or another, the inexorable progress of things suggests that they'll have a variety of return units, doesn't it? They always have before.
Still have my fingers crossed!
I'd say that's the most likely reason.
I was just going to buy one of those a few days ago but then they ran out. NOOOOO
So tempted to buy a refurb MacBook..
Actually, until a few days ago, basic was $849 and mid $899. The bigger drops were on the mbp. They probably weren't moving enough of low end w/ only $50 dif, and c2d due soon.
come on.....drop some more.......
The C2Ds will be more worth it, since 80GB hard drive and 1 GB ram is at least more sane than the old ones.
Yes, but they have their own set of issues (wireless encryption is a major problem).
Don't the C2D MBs have the same pre-N wireless cards as the MBPs?
Sorry, I was referring to all C2Ds, both MB and MBP.
