Just got a refurb Macpro, and the install disks are labeled 'for Mac computers' instead of 'Macpro' as they usually come. Does this mean it is an unhobbled Leopard disk? ie, could technically be installed on other systems?

I am about to install Tiger on the system anyway, since we can't run Leopard here yet. Just thought it was odd.

Its possible. Did you buy it from Apple or another refurb source?

Yes it's from Apple. It's a legitimate solid grey disk like all bundled system disks. Presumably it has iLife '08 on it as well!
