All my iPhones I buy new, I upgrade every year by rotating the upgrades on my lines and I always sell my iPhone for $100 more than I paid for them.

If you think you bought your new iPhone for '$200' and then sold it two years later for $300, thus making a $100 profit, I don't know what to tell you except, that AT&T and Verizon love to have customers like you.

Where's the iPad mini 3? I get that, if bargain is what we're going for, the iPad mini 2 is always going to be the better deal. However, it might be cool to at least get the option of a refurb iPad mini 3 that will still likely be cheaper than standard and academic discounts on brand new iPad mini 2 (or "iPad mini with Retina Display" if you rather that) models.

I can't argue for anyone else wanting an iPad but for me, it's an almost perfect gadget. The rumored Pro on the other hand is a no go for me... once the iPad surpasses its 9.7" screen size its no longer a device aimed at me.

The reason I carry around my iPad Air 2 is because its so much more portable and convenient than my 13" MBP.

A 12" iPad Pro? no matter how powerful it is... I'll pass thank you:D

It's the opposite for me. Impossible for me to use real productivity apps on 9.7" As long as the iPad Pro is truly hi res, it will fill a huge void in my lineup. My 15" MacbookPro is too heavy to always take with me but an extra few inches of device size to trade for more space to read while typing, more rows and columns in spreadsheets, will be my dream. But to each his own and I certainly see the other side of this argument.

Yes, I did make a profit. Not everyone gets a 50% monthly service discount like I do on my bill each month. Thanks for playing.

Sounds like you've got a system in place that suits you, which is great. However, if you're selling a one-year-old iPhone for $300, aren't you leaving at least a hundred or so bucks (at the very least) on the table every year?

Around where I am, or online like at Swappa, you could easily sell even a base model iPhone for much more than $300 in that kind of timeframe.

I sell them after two years. I get a new one every year, hand mine down to my son, and sell his current one. Two years of use for each iPhone, $100 in my pocket each year.
