Refurbished iPhone 15 Models Now Available From Apple's Online Store in U.S. and Canada

The 15 Pro would be ideal to me if I didn’t already have a 14 Pro. Though, I'd probably wait until WWDC to see what features will be cut from the older devices before considering it.

This is a steal for anyone needing to upgrade from an older model. The 15 Pro/Pro Max support Apple Intelligence (by no means a selling point) and are pretty much identical hardware wise to the 16 unless you need the camera control button (you don't as you can map the visual intelligence to the side button on the 15), or 0.1" more of screen real estate (it makes no difference).

I never upgraded to the 16 Pro Max from my 15PM because this was the first year where the "upgrade" was so close to the previous model there was literally no reason to.

It's not identical hardware. The 15 was one of the most disappointing upgrades in years. It offers Less RAM (which will hinder AI features as early as next year), much weaker processor, less battery life, dimmer and smaller display, slower charging, a significantly worse camera over the 16. Not to mention the heat sink issues!

As someone who has a yearly upgrade cycle, just hold off. The 15 Pro is disappointing coming from a 14 Pro. I'd argue both the 14 and 15 years were skippable models.

The 17 Pro might offer double the RAM and significant other improvements, but most people should be fine with a 14 Pro until 2026.

Feel even better about my initial 15 Pro purchase. Unless it breaks in the next 18-24 months, I don't think I'll have much reason to switch to a new phone. I'll probably have to swap out the battery at some point though...

Is the difference in weight really that noticeable? The 16 Pro is only 12 grams heavier than the 15 Pro (199g vs 187g), and considering it has a larger screen, the difference shouldn't be that noticeable.

Yes it really is that noticeble, i upgraded from 15 Pro to 16 Pro and after 3 months i sold the 16 Pro and bought a new 15 Pro again because it was bothering me that much.

The 15 Pro is the last one of its size as well, as it's actually slightly smaller in frame than the standard 15 and then every model after it. Obviously it's a little thicker with the big camera housing, but the frame itself is a tad smaller.

The 16e was released in February. When is it reasonable to expect a phone to show up on the refurbished store? 18 months after release?

The 15 Pro has noticeable improvements: titanium body (much better looking and lighter than stainless steel) and USB-C port which allow you to use a lot of accesories. Not to mention the action button (which I use everyday as a flashlight).

Also has Apple Intelligence (which I've never use it) but it still avaiable if any day somehow it becomes useful

Thermal design flaw issues, marginal performance gain over the 14 or even the 13PM and a paltry amount of RAM. The camera improvements were minimal and the battery life is lacking.

The 15 was arguably the worst YoY iPhone upgrade of the decade.

Like I mentioned, as someone who has purchased the Pro Max variant every year, the 15 was a terrible upgrade year, especially compared to the 13PM or the 16PM.

Luckily, Apple had a significant upgrade with the 16PM and the 17PM at least looks to build on that by increasing the RAM again significantly.
