I am going out of the county to visit family, and want to get them goodies. i am not trying to be cheap, but i do need to buy the ipod nanos in bulk. so refurbished seems to be a good idea.

only thing concerning me is the packaging...is it gift worthy...or does it come in a ghetto brown box?

The don't use brown boxes for the refurbished iPods anymore. It's a nice white box with an Apple logo and all the accessories are packaged inside like new.

I haven't had the box for over a year but it might.

I've seen USB 1.1 incompatibility threads from time to time on the iPod boards.
