hey all,

i'm about to jump on the bandwagon of ipods!
nothing negative, not bagging that ipod trends are bad.
i want to get it based on the fact that its simple. It plays my music, i want nothing more! Agree? :)

Anyway, so i'm eyeing on the 30gb, since the maximum nano of 8gb is just way to low in capacity, and this is going to last me years.
My question is, how well do the refurbished ipods come out? Do Apple give it a good clean and thorough test before they sell it?
I don't mind the few odd scratch here and there, but as long as it doesn't 'die' months after i get it (i.e. Weak battery, or hard drive failure or seomthing).

Anyone had bought refurbished ipods (or mac products)? Would i be better off buying it brand new and fresh? Refurbished would save me 20% off rrp! Any suggestions would be grateful!

Thnx!

Do a search of the forums for refurbs. You'll find a lot of happy customers including me. I've bought a 1G Nano and a Power Mac G5.

Cool thanks for that idea!
Seems many are quite happy with their purchases, and think i might head the same path
