I've been eying a refurbished MacBook Air from Apple's Official Refurbished store, and the deals don't look half bad. However, with WWDC 2015 right around the corner I am hesitant. I would not be interested in getting the latest and greatest (and most expensive), but historically does the referb. site get updated with lower prices or better deals with the introduction of new machines at the conference?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but...

It's very likely that there will be no more updates for the MBA line, or at least none of any significance.

Even if you're optimistic enough to believe that that isn't true, since the MBA just got an update this spring, the chances of another one at WWDC are really, really low.

2014 refurb prices will probably decline after 2015s start hitting the online store, but that could still be a couple of months away or more. The iPad Air 2 refurbs just hit the store within the last couple of weeks.

Knock wood, my need isn't immediate, so I'm hanging out in wait for a refurbished 2015, but I assumed it would be a couple of months at LEAST from the new ones were released in March. At that point, I'll see how the prices compare.

I might add, I wouldn't even have had such a strategy if not for all the insightful comments here.
