    Depends on who's refurbishing. Personally I wouldn't buy a refurb from anyone but Apple even if it cost a little more.

    does anyone know if the apple black friday discount (usually like $100 off for a macbook) add onto the normal education/corporate discount that people can get if qualified or no.

    To buy new/refurb.(good) MBP 13" inch / MBA 13"

    I've never seen them able to be stacked. I actually waited last year before buying a MBP for my daughter to see exactly that. On Black Friday they essentially dropped the price of the machine to exactly what the EDU discount was ($100 off)

    I think right this minute MacMall is about the low price. I'd keep an eye on them or Microcenter personally.
