Refurbishing the Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless Headphone 2 (AE2)

I have had this pair for close to five years now amongst other brands.

Very impressive sound, comfort and battery life.

.....but the ear cushions + headband have broken down and worn off.

Searching on the internet there seems to be general consensus on how fragile these original BOSE materials are.

My request is if someone does own these headphones and how they had to refurbish them.

Will you be kind to point to where I can find especially the correctly fitting headband. The ear cushions options appear to be more readily available.

i may not have really understood your advice

all the same having rummaged through the internet and stumbled upon the BOSE community forum it seems there is a "dead end" in terms of the headband replacement for this particular headphones unless one is prepared to break them and the wires apart
