Refurbs on Apple's site - mini not dead yet

I see they put a bunch of 2014s on the site. I guess this means that they are still making/selling/supporting custom builds too as there is even a 1.4GHz version with 8GB ram out there.

It's just refurbished stock, they could also sell that if a product is End of Life like old iPads which are also in stock. The Mac Mini can still be ordered new, that's your indication they're still making them

Exactly; they are still selling refurbished 11" MacBook Airs there also and it was discontinued last year. It was interesting when they first announced the 2014 Mini. Refurbished 2012 Minis on Apple's site immediately sold out whenever they appeared. Within a matter of weeks, they were all gone.

Fry's has been running promo code deals for weeks for new Minis with several configurations that are better than Apple's refurbs. I still look around, but I'll stick with my 2012 quad-core i7 Mini Server for now…
