Only Sprint can answer that with any certainty and they are no longer. Best not even to mention their name.

Sprint doesn’t exist literally except certain situations where sprint has more stores or towers or whatever. Most sprint stores converted to T-Mobile stores and they will only sell you t mobile service. So it’s a moot point. But yes if you bought a US phone unlocked it should be able to be whitelisted for sprint.

Last final question.

In case I need to reset my iPhone to factory settings while here in the USA , will I also have an issue on the part where after entering my WiFi credentials then the device needs to be activated I guess to the Apple’s servers. The part when it says “Please wait while your device is being activated”

Will I have an issue with that or resetting the phone has nothing to do with my mobile service provider as it is just contacting Apple’s servers only?

You will not have an issue during activation if you reset your iPhone. Also for clarification, T-Mobile announced that it would shut down Sprint's CDMA network by January 2022 and Sprint's LTE network by June 30, 2022.

So basically, my iPhone is carrier locked to t-mobile only meaning that technically, my phone is not an unlocked version?
