Hi all,

My name is Matt, and I’m a solo developer. I wanted to share a macOS app I built called RegionMirror.

I originally built it because of a problem I kept running into with my 49” ultrawide monitor during online meetings. When I shared my full screen in Teams, everything looked tiny and unreadable to everyone else. Sharing individual app windows works in some cases, but it is awkward when you need to jump between multiple windows or apps.

RegionMirror lets you define a portion of your screen and share that region as a normal window in Teams, Slack, Webex, and other meeting apps. Instead of sharing your whole display, you use the meeting app’s “Share a window” option and share the RegionMirror window.

The shared region can be moved and resized while you are still presenting, so you do not have to stop and restart screen sharing. You can move apps into the shared region, or move the region over the apps you want to show.

A few other features I added:

  • A customizable keyboard shortcut to quickly start sharing a predefined region
  • A blur mode for passwords or sensitive information
  • Annotation tools for highlighting content
  • A whiteboard overlay for quick sketches or explanations
I’ve been using it in my own daily meetings and figured it might be useful to others, especially anyone using an ultrawide display or frequently presenting across multiple apps.

RegionMirror is available on the App Store with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, it’s a one-time purchase covering all of your MacOS devices.

I’d really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or ideas for making it better.

Thanks!

Matt
