Why spend that much money for last year's chip tech? This has to be a troll post. 🪦
Anyway, if it isn’t i would return it and maybe go for the 15 Plus.
It’s lighter and it has a longer battery life.
No one can spot a difference between chips from 2023, 2022 or even 2021. Unless you doing something crazy demanding with your phone. In normal use is how 99,9% users use the phone doesn’t matter if it’s A17, A16 or A15. Seriously. If you buy based on chip tech you paying for spec on the papar and knowladge that there is new chip inside. That’s it.Why spend that much money for last year's chip tech?
Lol i know right, every year during the launching suddenly everyone is an expert in metallurgists, engineering and such. Test the phone and play with it. As long as it felt improve during your testing and able to justify it, get it and move on . If not just return and refund its that simpleNo one can spot a difference between chips from 2023, 2022 or even 2021. Unless you doing something crazy demanding with your phone. Anyone paying attention can use a 13 Pro, a 14 Pro and a 15 Pro and perceive operational differences. No one can spot a difference between chips from 2023, 2022 or even 2021. I do agree at some point. But with technology nowadays tech companies are just farming consumer in yearly basis like drip marketing and small incremental improvement. Its just the way it is. The user has to test with it and justify it . If aint cut it skip one year and see how it goes. Of cos there is people enjoy changing it on yearly basis there is no wrong in it as long as financially allows it or priorities allows it.Anyone paying attention can use a 13 Pro, a 14 Pro and a 15 Pro and perceive operational differences.
Not to say that all 3 are not good useful tools; they all are. And some folks will like saving money with last year's tech. Personally IMO the price savings with the drop back to last year's chip tech is not enough to justify buying a 15+.
I’m just out. I’m going to have to sell my pro.Are you still in the return period or would you sell the pro?
Gotcha, well it should sell for a pretty good amount since it’s so new. Meanwhile you can keep an eye out for the max specced the way you want.I’m just out. I’m going to have to sell my pro.
How is your SE doing regarding battery life? I have an old SE myself, it claims to have 90% battery health, but with its most current iOS it consumes power like crazy. E.g. just opening MacRumors in Safari will take 5%, and a few minutes of activity can cut battery life in half. It is near useless as a mobile device. I sometimes ponder replacing the battery (currently its second battery, original Apple), but I am not sure what I can hope for - maybe the battery is not the problem, and instead it is iOS that has become too busy for the little phone.I purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I have to say, coming from original SE, it’s been a frustrating experience. First and foremost, the battery life is bad. I find myself constantly searching for a charger by evening. This has made the phone incredibly inconvenient for daily use. Also phone heats up like crazy and 17.0.3 has not fixed the issue.
Both. It just doesn’t feel as premium. I guess I just got used to the PM with the 14. It does feel normal after awhile.Gotcha, well it should sell for a pretty good amount since it’s so new. Meanwhile you can keep an eye out for the max specced the way you want.
So the pro just felt too small or more like lackluster?

I do not agree.I think we can all agree, the perfrect size and compromise is the 15 pro!
Umm… perhaps you misunderstood, it’s my sister’s backup phone that she loaned me until I buy a new phone for myself. The big red flag for me is the loaner XR. Those only get provided if the phone is shipped to a repair center, that’s it.
Have you considered writing a book?I purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I have to say, coming from original SE, it’s been a frustrating experience. First and foremost, the battery life is bad. The phone is too big and heavy but theres very little extra content shown on the screen. So it’s like just streched regular screen.
The software updates have become a nightmare. It seems like every other day there’s a new update that disrupts everything… iOS 17.0.1… 0.2… 0.3… Not to mention, some of these updates have caused compatibility issues with third-party apps, making them crash or behave erratically.
The camera, while touted as a major selling point, has been a letdown. The pictures are often overprocessed, and in low light, they are downright terrible. It feels like the camera’s capabilities were oversold, and it’s not living up to the hype.
The phone is incredibly fragile, and even a minor scratchinh can lead to a ruined finish. And when it does scratch, the repair costs are astronomical. It’s almost like they want you to buy a new phone instead.
In summary, this iPhone has been nothing but a headache. The poor battery life, huge size and weight without more screen real estate, heat issues, constant updates, disappointing camera, and fragile design make it a frustrating and expensive device to own. I expected more from a flagship iPhone, but unfortunately, it falls short in many areas.
i’m sorry, you were forced?I literally was forced to by 15 Pro for myself and 15 Pro Max for my wife..
If you buy every 2-3yrs, then you get more cash back at upgrade by buying the latest model. This is something to consider if you take your phone on a payment plan.I do agree at some point. Lol the conspiratorially minded amongst us might conclude that these threads are made to keep stuff like the following permanently on the front page of MacRumors
I agree. I prefer small phones but the pro seemed SO small.Gotcha, well it should sell for a pretty good amount since it’s so new. Meanwhile you can keep an eye out for the max specced the way you want.

Gotcha, I thought you implied you got a loaner from Apple. Since they only do loaner XRs when they ship a phone to a repair center I put that together incorrectly. I still have my problems with your post but I will stand corrected on this one.Umm… perhaps you misunderstood, it’s my sister’s backup phone that she loaned me until I buy a new phone for myself.
