So I’m moving from carrying a small messenger bag to a backpack, and I’m looking for a more effective way to carry my iPad Pro.

What I’m looking for is a sleeve of some sort that also has some reinforcement. I already have a pocket in the backpack, but I’d like to have an added layer of protection for the iPad.

Does anyone know of a sleeve fitting this description? Something with a pocket for an iPhone would be a bonus as well!

I’m looking for something like this too. I’ve been carrying a larger messenger bag, but when I’m not going to work, something smaller and lighter would be much better. I used to carry my iPad in my purse on occasion, but there’s a difference between my old 5th gen iPad and my new IPP in that I’m trying to be a little more careful with the IPP.

Anyway, I’m thinking about going with Waterfield. Here’s their iPad Pro sleeves and bags: https://www.sfbags.com/collections/ipad-pro-sleeves-and-bags
My current bag is a Waterfield, and though it’s large, it’s amazing. I’m considering the Muzetto.

If you like Waterfield and want more of a sleeve, you might like the Sleevecase: https://www.sfbags.com/collections/ipad-pro-sleeves-and-bags/products/ipad-sleevecase. It looks like there’s a pocket on the side for a phone, though I’d ask them if it will fit before ordering.

Let us know what you decide!

I have this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RK1JVSY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It fits the 11" iPad Pro with the keyboard case and pencil. Perfectly / borderline tight, but will stretch out enough after a short time. It does not have a "hard" layer in the sleeve but the weird foam bubble layer is very firm. When the sleeve is empty, it still does not like to be bent much. With the whole setup in there it's hard to even feel the iPad inside. It seems pretty solid and safe.

Like all things Amazon, it smells bad out the box but the smell slowly went away.

It has an open pocket half way up that velcro's in the middle, but not all the way across.

I have a padded sleeve, similar to the one Phisherman81 links to, along with a Case Logic padded thin shoulder bag that I use with my MS Surface Go (size identical to the iPP 11"). I've added my own reinforcement in the form of a 1/8" thick aluminum panel (scrap from photographic test prints we get at the gallery where I work) which I've wrapped with a somewhat plush micro fiber cloth using double stick tape.

Any 11in MBP sleeve would work. I have a Timbuk2 sleeve I purchased years ago. It has a TPU waterproof cover and a plush lining inside. Basically the sleeve for the iPad and Macs are the same.

I have for my MBP the Tucano Second Skin. I got this because everyone was using the Incase sleeves which are priced higher. They carry a line for the iPads too. The quality is a lot better than Incase. The zippers have a cover underneath so that the zipper doesn't press against your device.

Incase sleeves are $50

If you are feeling adventurous check out the Crumpler Sleeves. I have several of their products. They used to carry a lot of their products in store but after the change in import tax they ship only online or from the UK. If you find one on Amazon, there is a possibility you can pick up the same product cheaper on Ebay from one of their resellers.
