Time Machine and then migration from the backup. Basically you'd need an external HDD.

i would do time machine but im reinstalling to get unneeded **** off and by proper files to u mean the iphoto library in the Pictures folder?

For iPhoto, simply copy your library onto an external disk. After reinstall put your library back in your Pictures folder, Opt-click Itunes and select library again. Simple as that.
