I am currently trying to reinstall (clean) install a copy of windows xp professional and have been having some problems...
Note: I am trying to do a fresh install on a windows computer (ie. not a mac). I know this is a mac forum, but you guys have helped me out previously with my macbook, and I know a lot of you are really knowledgeable. This seemed like the most appropriate forum on macrumors.
I have inserted the windows disc and restarted the computer (I had to also go into bios to change the boot order, to boot from cd first). At the appropriate time I have to press a key to enter windows set up... this is where my problem begins.
I come to a blue screen where I have the option to set up windows or repair ect. The problem is, my keyboard is no longer responsive (remember it worked before to allow me to enter setup). It is a ps2 connection keyboard (no usb) and it works on other PCs in my house.
Solutions I have tried:
Using a different keyboard: no luck
Reinstalling my keyboard drivers: nope
I need to use the keyboard in order to get the licence agreement page, and other setup pages
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have searched the internet for solutions but am really stumped😕
