Having chosen to upgrade to Leopard versus the archive and install method, is it then possible to reinstall Leopard by the archive and install method and have all your apps and settings be all right?

Yep I did this at the weekend to try and cure some performance issues.
Worked a treat but the issues still remained 🙄
