I'm kinda stuck and I can't think of anywhere else to post!

In Windows 8, the Skype app was unresponsive, so I uninstalled it. However, going into the Windows 8 app store, it says "You own this app" and there is no download or install button. Skype no longer exists in this Windows install... yet I can't re-download it?

I Googled, and it seems that if you uninstall a Windows 8 app, you just reinstall it from the store. But... I have no install button for Skype, and when I did a test by uninstalling another app ("Music") the same thing happens - I no longer have the app, and I can't download it again.

Am I missing something?

I'm not being patronising or trolling, so please don't take this the wrong way

Did you definitely uninstall the metro app - right-click on the start menu & click uninstall,

or, did you remove the app from the start menu? If it's saying it's installed, try a reboot and search for the app. Maybe it's just hidden?

The former - definitely uninstalled. The apps are gone from the machine.
