Pretty funny... I'm surprised not to have seen something along the lines of this:

Due to the nature of this forum, I can't even come close to typing what my friend tried to get Apple to engrave on his iPod.

They definitely rejected his request.
 
Most malls have a kiosk that engrave things. I've seen plenty of people getting their iPods engraved with whatever they want on it for a few bucks.
