MacOS Sequoia release date: Monday, September 16

2025 iPhone event: Tuesday, September 9
MacOS Tahoe release date: Monday, September 15

2026 iPhone event: Wednesday, September 9
Officially confirmed macOS Golden Gate release: before the new Mac mini and Mac Studios launch on September 22

September 6 is a Sunday.
September 7 is a US holiday, so it certainly will not launch then.
Not a chance they drop the RC before the iPhone event, seeing as it will likely have references to all of the new iPhones in it.
Just like the last 2 years of macOS releases, and the last 18 years of iOS releases, the RC or GM will drop about a half hour after the iPhone event ends.

My guess would be around September 20 for public release, as that would be just before the new Mac Mini and Studio are released (September 22). Both iOS and iPadOS are usually released the week of the new iPhone launch, with MacOS being released a few days/weeks later.

I believe iOS, iPadOS, and macOS have all been released on the same day over the past few years.
