Hey, Does anyone know if I can buy a iPhone for a friend while Im in line at the apple store? I know that apple last year allowed you to get two phones per person on release day, will that be the same? My friend and I both current have iPhones that there both gotten on release day, will we be able to get one? I read somewhere that current users could still activate at home, just new users have to activate in store. Is that true?
Thanks

Well, someone's email earlier said three per customer.

Anyway, from the Macrumors page, it seems like all you need to do is give the IMEI number of the 3G iPhone (if you're an iPhone customer).

Thanks for the info, but does anyone know if I can still purchase my friend one, who is out of state? Or will that be restricted? My friends currently does have an iPhone too, he just wants a new one.
