New to the forum, and bought a the 2.4ghz UMB just under a month ago and was pretty annoyed when I saw the updates right after WWDC. Saw that Best Buy dropped the price from 1599 to 1299, brought my receipt in for a price match and they agreed to do it. Made me feel a whole lot better. I feel like I ended up ahead since I don't have much of a use for the FW and SD slot. I've heard that my screen was a part of the silent updates, and I'm not a huge fan of the non-replaceable battery. Since I won't really notice much of a difference in processor speed, I can now use my savings to buy the extra RAM and still pay less than the new UMB.

Sounds like you made a wise move. Yeah those 300 bucks are sure gonna be helpful to get yourself some nice accessories to it.
