Relocating 3,5mm headphone jack on 27" iMac

I've been using my new 2020 27" iMac 5K every day since November and there is only one thing that I find really really annoying (apart from my WiFi connectivity issues). When I have my EarPods connected to the iMac, the wire keeps getting in the way. This is especially annoying when it hits my Magic Trackpad 2 because it registers the cable as touch input...

Now I could switch to AirPods but that's just too much of a hassle for me, and I have to use headphones for online meetings etc. since I'm not alone in the room. Do any of you have tips on how to solve this issue? Or have a good hub with audio jack that doesn't break the bank?

Not sure how AirPods would be more of a hassle then what your dealing with now. You can always get a cheap extension for the EarPods to route the cable away from trackpad or under the desk and fasten it to the bottom of the desk or whatever is more convenient.

Unless you are extremely picky about the aesthetics of your workspace just go with edk99's suggestion and get a mini-headphone extension cable. Nothing wrong with simple, cheap and effective!
