For the simple reason that I spend my life dancing between MacOS and Linux (Mainly Xubuntu and Mint) I set things up
in the System Settings of MacOS 12 so the COMMAND and the CONTROL keys' functions were reversed.

Now, for various reasons I want to undo that, but I cannot find a way to do that with the, frankly horrible, System Setting in MacOS beta something.

Please help me.

Found it . . . but a lot more difficult to track down than in the System Settings we had from at least 10.3 to 12.
You have to live the way the dictatorial sods at Apple run roughshod over their installed base without taking soundings, all to build some private cosmos where fo;k have a problem differentiating Ipad and iPhones from MacOS

Yep. System Settings is horrible and glitchy... I really don't like it, but that's what we have to live with! Glad you got it fixed. I think I'm going to wait till 13.1 or maybe even 13.2 to upgrade to Ventura, seems too unstable still with just two or three weeks till the final release.

I swap option and control keys as I heavily invest in ctrl-left/right for moving between spaces on a laptop. It's been working well for me with Ventura.

Without taking soundings? Uh huh. It's a beta. What would you have them do, send someone round to your door with a clipboard?

Not really a good idea as my house in the mountains in Bulgaria means the poor person with the clipboard will have to travel quite a way from Silicon valley.

But they are dictatorial sodas as THAT is what we'll have in MacOS 13: so that nonsense about 'beta' is just nonsense.

Problem is there are more iOS users than Mac users and with more iOS using Mac because of M1 chip, this is what we get.

Linux. If you want freedom but sometimes I like a bit of strictness. My only problem is that macOS 13 settings is BUGGY.

;)

Well in that case your point is clearly just your opinion and also clearly moot since none of us have seen the public release yet.
