No, you're still missing the point. It wasn't supposed to be a biopic, or particularly historically accurate. It wasn't meant to place Antoinette in the context of the French Revolution either. It was, from end to end, a stylized account of her brief reign, a character study more than anything else.

I mean, you're free to dislike the film, obviously. But don't riff on it because it wasn't something it never purported to be. That'd be like disliking Lord of the Rings because it was a terrible documentary.
